Abstract

The Chicha, Life and Happiness Festival is part of some cultural practices that goes back to our Muiscas indigenous parents, who celebrated in honor of the deity Fu, who was a sacred symbol to them, and it is socially commemorated in the communal drunkenness. The Chicha, which is a fermented beverage usually derived from maize and honey, which becomes a leisure catalyst and a popular element of an essential social group in this festival. Some women, who have been learning for generations how to make the Chicha, nowadays is known for their work in the preservation and transmission the cultural value to the upcoming generations.
