La The new postcovid-19 normality for the tourist in Veracruz air transportation

Abstract

The present study identified the sanitary measures received by tourists in mexican air transportation in the face of the new post-covid-19 normality at the General Heriberto Jara International Airport in the state of Veracruz. A work of participative observation and photographic documentation was carried out to visualize the actions taken by the federal government to mitigate the risk of contagion and guarantee passenger health in the face of the global pandemic Covid-19 declared in March 2020, which caused different countries to close their borders to curb the contagion. Non-essential travel was suspended and tourism was classified as a non-essential activity, paralyzing air traffic. It is concluded that the sanitary measures implemented in view of the new normality at General Heriberto Jara International Airport were positive and provided tourists with security and confidence when traveling, guaranteeing a safe experience during their journey. Similarly, domestic tourism was encouraged in view of the closing of the borders to support the gradual economic reactivation.
