Importance of ethics in the work of university teachers in Venezuela

Abstract

The following document seeks to deepen over the existing valorization of professional ethics in university professor at the University Simón Bolívar Sede Litoral, specifically in the assigned department services technology teachers, those who are college senior technicians in administrative careers. In view of this inquiry field a descriptive study performed in a population of teachers and students, divided into administrative careers Tourism Management, Transportation Management and Business Organization. Likewise, a survey is carried out as part of the data collection technique to the representative sample of their students in order to determine the importance of the work ethic of teachers from their perception. The results obtained are inclined to recognize the importance of ethics and even the added value that would mean the existence of a code of conduct for education professionals. As a result of the study, it contributes to the development of positive elements that support the assessment of ethics, which are necessary to further deepen the generation of data related to ethics in the teaching work in university professor in Venezuela.
